Damascus, 29 March (EFE) .- The Syrian government announced on Sunday the record of the first death in the country due to infection with the new coronavirus, according to the state news agency "Sana".
"A woman died today in a hospital center, where, after some tests were carried out, it was found to be positive for coronavirus," as published in the public vehicle, which cited a statement from the local Ministry of Health.

The NGO Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which is based in London, informed that, with this death, there would be two deaths by Covid-19, information that is not confirmed by the local government.
