Spotify recently added a new feature that can help you listen to multiple playlists with your friends, even if they are in different locations.
The lists will have a host that will be able to send a code to friends so that everyone can join the same session, sharing several songs with each other with the respective controls of adding or removing songs and playing and pausing them.
The function is now available to all users of Spotify for Android and iOS, and each session can have up to 100 participants listening to music.
How to start a group to listen to music with friends?
First, the session host will have to play a song for the player to appear at the bottom of the application. After entering this area, it will be necessary to choose the option “Connect to a device” so that the various options from where we want to hear the track appear.
In this area, a new function called “Start a group session” with a Spotify image code will be presented, which friends will have to scan to enter.
After entering the group session, any member will be able to control the tracks, in addition to being able to skip songs or rewind them. It will also be possible to add new songs to the playlist.
To exit the session, just follow the same steps as if you were entering a new one, as in the place where an “Exit Session” button will be.
