New PS Plus free games are being released this week by Sony, but before that happens, gamers also have the chance to claim some exclusive rewards.

This includes a new PlayStation Plus Play Pack for Apex Legends, the hit Battle Royale shooter currently available to play on PS4.

This new content pack is an exclusive reward for PlayStation Plus members, meaning it can’t be bought for in-game currency.

And the fact that Apex Legends doesn’t require PS Plus means there could be quite a few players out there who don’t have this new stuff.

The Apex Legends PlayStation Plus Play Pack can be claimed from the PS Store at any point during August 2019 and includes several exciting items.

This new pack boasts six items in total and stacks with the other content already available on the PlayStation Store.

These items are two character skins (Wraith & Caustic), two weapon skins (Hemlok & Peacekeeper), and two banners (Wraith & Caustic).

As mentioned above, this new PS Plus pack can be downloaded from the PlayStation Store today and stacks with all the other existing packs.

Most of these other free rewards have been removed, and there is no clear indication if they will be brought back any time soon.

It might also be worth checking out the other bundles available exclusively for PS Plus members.

These include packs for games like Dragon Quest Builders 2, Path of Exile, Fortnite, PES 2019 and Dauntless, so you should be able to find something worth downloading.

And these items are just the first new bonuses being released for PlayStation Plus members in August.

As many subscribers will already know, the new lineup of free games is being released later this week, replacing the current selection.

Gamers only have until tomorrow, August 6 to add titles like Detroit Become Human and Horizon Chase Turbo to their libraries before they are removed.

Detroit Become Human is one of the most high-profile games that Sony has provided in 2019, and it will be a hard one to top.

The August free games list has already been announced by Sony to include WipEout Omega Collection and Sniper Elite 4.

The Omega Collection is an exciting choice to give away as it includes some different games from the franchise.

It combines WipEout 2048, WipEout HD, and the HD Fury expansion into one package for PS4 gamers to enjoy.

Another feature to point out is that the Omega Collection also brings a bonus for PlayStation VR owners, who don’t see much in the way of PS Plus free game giveaways.

“Race against the clock and other competitors to take home a podium win, unlocking dozens of ships as you progress through 26 tracks,” the official game description reads.

“Competition gets fiercer online, with eight players duking it out on high-speed circuits, or alternatively you can go one-on-one with a friend on the couch.

“Those looking for the ultimate thrill can experience the entire game, including all modes and tracks, on PlayStation VR.”

More PS Plus bundles and rewards are expected to be announced and added to the PlayStation Store in the coming weeks.
