PayPal, one of the most famous payment methods in the world, recently added a new contactless payment method using a QR code.
Portugal was one of 28 countries to receive the new function that is already available for use. "This solution will be available to buyers and sellers, not only in physical stores but also in home deliveries", says the company in a statement.
In the early days the new function will be available to traders free of charge, and they can print their QR code so that customers can scan this method.
How to use PayPal's QR code?
If you are a merchant, simply access the application and enter the “More” option, available on the bottom bar of it. There you will see an option called “Receive with QR codes” where your own QR code is available that you can save in the Gallery.
In case a customer wants to make a payment using this method, the process is very similar, where in the “More” menu, there is an option of “Read to pay”, where the application will need the user's permission to use the customer's camera. equipment.
To make payments faster, when entering the PayPal application, a “Read” button with the code symbol is initially available, which will have the same function.
