Fuel prices retreated at gas stations this week, according to data released on Friday (23) by the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP).
The fall in prices follows the downward trend in the value of gasoline and diesel in refineries in the face of falling oil prices and the global slowdown.
According to the ANP survey, the average liter of gasoline for the consumer fell 1.9%, to R $ 4.40, this week. The price of a liter of diesel fell 2.6% in the period, to R $ 3.492.
The price of ethanol decreased 2.7%, to R $ 3,139.

The values are an average calculated by the ANP with data collected at stations in several cities across the country. Prices, therefore, vary by region.
This Friday, Petrobras informed that it will reduce the average price of gasoline by 5% and that of diesel by 3% in refineries as of this Saturday (28). According to the state-owned company, the average price of gasoline is now R $ 1.08 per liter – the lowest since October 31, 2011.
It was the second reduction in the price of gasoline this week, and the first in diesel. On Wednesday, the price of the first was reduced by 15% at refineries. As a result, in the accumulated result for the year, the reduction in gasoline prices is 43.5%. In the case of diesel, it is 31.3%.
