Aren't Twitter notifications from @realDonaldTrump enough? Do you want to check your phone and immediately know what President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence are doing in the campaign?

The official Trump 2020 app is getting a boost in functionality – and no actual fact checking from Twitter.

Texas-based software development company Phunware Wednesday announced its partnership with American Made Media Consultants in the development, launch and ongoing management of the Trump-Pence 2020 Reelection Campaign mobile app portfolio for Apple iOS smartphones and Google Android.

Regulation: Trump threatens to 'heavily regulate' or & # 39; close & # 39; social media platforms

The mobile app, launched last month, will continue to "allow people to engage with the campaign from the couch or wherever they are", as Brad Parscale, Trump's presidential campaign manager, said:

  • Dedicated news feed to read articles, watch videos and stay up to date with Trump's social feed
  • Registration tool to volunteer, raise funds and help Trump's reelection campaign
  • Scheduling tool to discover and record local, state and national events
  • Gamified loyalty system to accumulate reward points, including redemption features for exclusive merchandise and enhanced experiences
  • Broadcast live events for virtual engagement
  • Mobile ticket office for face-to-face events

"Our software provides the Trump-Pence team with powerful mobile tools for their high-profile re-election campaign, enabling individual user engagement and interactions on a trusted and proven global platform," Alan S. Knitowski, president, CEO and co-founder of Phunware said in a statement.

The previous Wednesday, Trump threatened to "tightly regulate" or "shut down" social media platforms the day after Twitter added a "fact check" label to two of his post ballot tweets.

"Republicans think Social Media Platforms totally silence conservative voices," tweeted Trump, "We will tightly regulate them or close them down before we can allow that to happen."

The official Trump 2020 app, currently available for download, has a rating of 3.9 on the Apple App Store and a rating of 3.8 on the Google Play Store.
